What are the
benefits of a riding class? Horse riding is a widely recognized
and progressive form of therapy. The ability to control a horse as
well as one's own body inspires self-confidence, responsibility and
teamwork. Best of all, it is a thoroughly enjoyable experience, which
creates a special relationship between rider and horse. |
How is a riding class structured? Riding
classes are designed to incorporate educational, medical and recreational
components. To create the best environment, a riding instructor will review each rider's ability and design a riding curriculum that is indivualized. A riding instructor, a horse leader and one to two volunteers will be assigned to the rider. Safety and stable manners are observed at all times. |

Who is eligible to become a rider? This program is designed for individuals with physical, mental or emotional challenges.
